Husband. Father. Business Owner. Rancher. Reform Candidate.
California is worth fighting for.
I’m Brandon Owen, and I’m running for State Assembly because I believe our state has been overtaken by political careerism, hidden agendas, a system increasingly disconnected from the people it was designed to serve and a system intentionally designed to keep everyday citizens out of power.
I am not a career politician.
I am a small business owner who built Max Muscle Nutrition & Wellness from the ground up. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker who understands housing markets, property rights, and the regulatory barriers driving families out of California. I am a small livestock rancher who understands land use, water access, and agricultural realities. And above all, I am a husband and father who wants a stable, affordable, and safe California for the next generation.
Why I’m Running
Over the past several years, I have witnessed firsthand how government institutions can become unaccountable when transparency disappears. When public agencies refuse to answer questions, when records are hidden, when insiders protect insiders, citizens lose trust.
That is unacceptable.
Sacramento should work for the people — not protect itself.
Our state is facing:
• Unaffordable housing
• Rising insurance costs and inability to insure on some homes
• Escalating energy prices
• Increasing public safety concerns
• Small businesses suffocating under regulation
• Families relocating to freer states
And yet, instead of reform, we get more bureaucracy and more complexity.
I am running to restore accountability.
My Legislative Priority: The No Hidden Agendas Act
California’s legislative process has become a maze of multi-topic bills packed with unrelated provisions that few lawmakers — and even fewer citizens — have time to fully read.
That must end!
The No Hidden Agendas Act will:
• Require strict single-subject compliance
• Prohibit unrelated amendments from being inserted at the last minute
• Mandate public transparency windows before final votes
• Restore integrity to the legislative process
If a bill is good policy, it should stand on its own.
Transparency protects democracy.
What I Stand For:
Economic Freedom
California should be the best place in America to start and grow a business — not the hardest. I support reducing regulatory burdens, protecting independent contractors, lowering taxes on working families, and making it possible for small businesses to compete and thrive.
Housing & Property Rights
As a Real Estate Broker, I understand how overregulation restricts supply and drives up costs. We must responsibly expand housing, streamline approvals, protect landowners, and reduce bureaucratic barriers that prevent development.
Public Safety
Communities deserve to feel safe. Laws must be enforced. Law enforcement must be supported. Victims must be prioritized over criminals.
Parental Rights & Education Accountability
Parents are the primary decision-makers in their children’s lives. Education systems must focus on academic excellence, transparency, and measurable outcomes — not political agendas.
Election Integrity
Free and fair elections require both access and trust. I support common-sense voter ID standards and transparent verification processes that strengthen confidence in our system.
Fiscal Responsibility
Government should operate like families and businesses do, within its means. We must prioritize essential services, reduce waste, and stop expanding debt without accountability.
An Outsider Campaign
California’s system makes it difficult for everyday citizens to run for office. Filing fees are high. Candidate statement fees are even higher. Compliance rules are complex. Institutional incumbents benefit from built-in advantages.
That structure discourages reformers.
But this campaign is about breaking through that barrier.
This is a grassroots movement powered by volunteers, families, and business owners who are tired of watching Sacramento drift further away from accountability.
The Difference
I do not owe political favors.
I am not sponsored by insiders.
I will not trade principles for access.
I will show up.
I will read the bills.
I will ask the hard questions.
I will vote transparently.
And I will report back to the people.
California is not beyond repair. But it requires courage and willingness to stand in the face of adversity.
I am ready to stand in the face of career corruption and restore government that works for citizens — not the other way around.
I respectfully ask for your support,
Brandon Owen
